We are a Not-for-Profit hub for ecological innovation and leadership development. Inspired by water, we engage with young people through science, technology, and the arts.

Our flagship ClearWater Farm, launched in 2016 on Lake Simcoe, is a ‘living lab’ where:

  • Kids in their wonder years are learning from the natural world
  • Young agri-preneurs are advancing regenerative water-wise farming techniques
  • All visitors are experiencing and enjoying the connections between good food, good health, an engaged community and a healthy planet.

Our vision and impact is being dramatically extended for kids to 6 to 10 and their families through Future Chicken, a multi-platform media universe inspiring and empowering them and providing them tools to help them change the world, focussing on the good happening today and the positive effect it will have on the future.

ClearWater Farm is a historic farmstead on Lake Simcoe being reimagined as an operating eco-farm, training centre, and place for events that connects people with nature and fosters understanding about the role of water in sustainable food production, economic growth, and healthy communities.

Welcome to Future Chicken

Future Chicken, launched in November 2023, is a pioneering multi-media initiative for children 6 to 10 featuring a time-travelling chicken called Potato (once a real-life potato peel loving chicken on ClearWater Farm). It’s videos, shows, games, podcasts and more all providing kids with much-needed tools within a community to inspire them to participate in climate action, feel heard, and know that they can make a difference. Wind Sun Sky Entertainment, Vancouver, has loaded Future Chicken with great characters, humour, and fun at FutureChicken.com

The Ontario Water Centre is an educational not-for-profit with charitable status (CRA #842146284RR0001).
