A place where the ecological, social, cultural, economic, recreational and spiritual meanings and benefits of water are experienced first hand. A place that solidifies Ontario’s role as a water leader and Canada’s place as a water rich, yet water-conscious nation.

... Lake Simcoe being a hub for innovation, research and learning that encompasses water and watersheds, arts and science, society and culture, the environment and the spirit. The idea for a Water Centre for Innovation, Research and Learning on Lake Simcoe is developing. Imagine a “living laboratory” with clusters of activities and centres throughout the watershed linked by a common vision, branding and smart communications with people and nature as partners. Imagine the Lake Simcoe Water Centre as an accelerator and a catalyst that brings different sectors and those within sectors together.
